So.. teaching children that fish and squids swim and dive and birds fly is not really true, is it?

It all starts with a picture on fb and this message: "Polluted oceans cause squid to grow lungs and develop the ability to fly" http://9gag.com/gag/342697 It now has 47.501 likes and 6.327 shares and also, this description: "On the contrary, I think science would have a field day with it!".

So, what do I do? :D google it like all human beings would do.

Some Squids do fly. Also, there is a fish family called the Exocoetidae that flies. Takning about cattegories: Higher classification: Beloniformes and Lower classifications: Hirundichthys, Cypselurus, Cheilopogon By now, with the Life of Pi movie, I guess that you know about category of flying fish. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flying_fish

Therefore, some fish do fly and squids use jet propulsion to fly. Jellyfish can light waters and this is something you should search for yourself.
